Greater Port Macquarie Tourism Association

C2Hills regularly assists Greater Port Macquarie Tourism Association with strategic planning and grant advice.

We love hearing the incredible ideas flowing from the tourism association members which will boost the region’s hospitality and flow on businesses. Our role is to link those ideas with funding programs or aligning ideas with government initiatives or introducing people among our networks to provide expertise.

Our first engagement with GPMTA was to gain funding for the Port Macquarie Regional Stadium scoreboard under the Australian Government’s Stronger Communities Program. This involved bringing together users of the regional stadium, the local council, federal minister and MP, and the tourism association. The project was recognised as affirming the stadium’s status as a significant facility capable of hosting state level competitions.

The site is the location for state touch football, local rugby league as well as the place visiting soccer, rugby and rugby union fixtures of national significance. At a community level increasing the professionalism of the stadium means fans, particularly youth, can get up close to their sporting idols and be inspired to emulate their healthy, active lifestyle.

C2Hills Consultancy secured funding for the project and built solid relationships between all parties which will continue to foster positive outcomes.

“I cannot recommend the services of C2Hills Consultancy more highly. Their professionalism is so appreciated. Often you are not treated with any genuine desire to support your project, but this is not the case with Cara and Danielle. We have worked with Cara and Danielle on a number of projects and it’s incredible that any bumps in the road disappear. They have the solutions to get through the problems. The ease of working with C2Hills was a welcome bonus. They grasp projects, think outside the square for solutions and deliver solid results. Cara and Danielle have a great network of contacts and build strong working relationships with every committee and community they work with.”
